Upper Stage Booster using Electric Propulsion

We've just started a low-cost and high-frequency upper-stage motor using an electric propulsion system for the purpose of small-scale interplanetary probes.




Microwave Launcher

Pulsed microwave initiated detonation will push a flying rocket in atmospheric condition. System design of such a system called as 'microwave rocket' is just started in our laboratory in collaboration with Tokyo University, which is the leading laboratory of the microwave rocket.

Pulse Detonation Rocket System

In collaboration with University of Tsukuba, new concept engine called as 'pulse detonation rocket' is being developed. In 2015, the first demonstration of 200-N class small rocket based on pulse detonation engine will be launched in Japan.
